Before we say goodbye at the end of this month I have to recommend Marina & The Diamonds new album – because wonderful readers like you deserve the best, you know.
I was quite skeptical about the whole “Electra Heart”-concept album thang. But although I’m a bit bored with her never ending pop culture references, the girl has really found her DNA on her second album.
The sound is more mature, uses some agressive pop elements and stays grounded with some of the best unhappy love songs I’ve heard in a while.

Go get “Electra Heart” right now… and mend your broken hipster heart with some good music.
I’ve finally decided to close my dear little music blawg. Partly because if I can’t do it 100 percent, I don’t see myself doing it.
But how does one close a blog? With a competition? A little selection of flashbacks? Fireworks and cake? Help me out…

The oldest trick in the press buzz book is doing a cover of a popular hit song – sometimes it goes well – sometimes it’s an epic fail.
I’ve found some covers by Florence and The Machine, Natalia Kills, The Ting Tings, Robyn and 30 Seconds to Mars… some are nice, some are blaughr.
I’m not the usual productive blogger lately – it’s like I’ve lost my will to blawg. Any advice about that?
My love for concerts is not fading though – I’m looking forward to Drake in April, Madonna i August – and I just got tickets for Watch The Throne in May.
SO. EXCITED.

Marina & The Diamonds continues to explore the teenage-poem-lyric-style – although it’s a more pure pop sound this time around on “Homewrecker”.
Jessie J will be one of the four star coaches on Britain’s version of talent show “Voice”. Perhaps to demonstrate her own incredible voice Jessie J stopped by Radio 1 to do her vocal thang – covering Rihanna’s “We Found Love”.
Yellow Diamonds, aight.

Rihanna invited her ex Chris Brown to join the remix of “Birthday Cake”. I guess it’s supposed to signal, that they have put the past behind them.
It might be scandalous, but the remix is a bit boring and repetitive. But let the crazy music biz kids have some fun! It’s been three years.

Look, I’d love to write some clever blog post about The Grammy Awards. But I refuse.
An award show where Katy Perry is allowed to screech into a microphone perform in a cheap camel-toe inducing bodysuit, 5-dollar sunglasses and fugly blue hair does not deserve clever things written about it.
And Katy? Rule number 1, when you break up with somebody: LOOK AMAZING. Don’t dye your hair and prance around in stupid body suits.
Katy’s performance was really… bleh… Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
